All Points East

Taking over Victoria Park in Hackney for ten days in August, All Points East draws some of the globes most prolific artists for a series of genre-spanning day festivals. In 2025, Chase and Status, Overmono, Barry Can’t Swim and Raye are all set to headline. In recent years, APE has become more commercial, but it's still a safe bet for the most current music talent.

Ticket price General admission starts at £80

Location Victoria Park, Hackney

Lido Festival

A brand new festival is heading to Victoria Park this summer. Lido Festival is set to welcome a roster of blockbuster headliners to the stage. Massive Attack, Air, Charli xcx, Jamie xx and loads more will top the bill over a fortnight of fun.

Plus, Lido Festival will host In The Neighbourhood, a 4-day, free, family-friendly festival including theatre shows, live music, pilates classes and loads more.

Field Day

After many years in Victoria Park, Field Day is moving ‘down south’ for 2025. Peggy Gou will top the bill at this May bank holiday festival, with Dixon, James Blake and Special Request also due to play.

Eastern Electrics

One of the oldest running events in this line-up of East London festivals, EE started as an underground warehouse party and has gone from strength to strength since, now hosting a party for over 40,000 electronic music lovers. Eastern Electrics prides itself on great sound production, something that's often lacking at festivals. Guess there’s only one way to find out.

Dates Postponed until 2026 due to work on the pylons at the site. True story.

Ticket price £35 and up via Resident Advisor.

More information Lee Valley Showground, Waltham Cross

London Coffee Festival

Not all festivals have to revolve around alcohol. The London Coffee Festival invites the world's best roasters, producers and baristas to showcase beans ranging from Brazil dark-roasts to Kenyan floral tastes. Hear talks from industry leaders, try your hand at barista-ing or just sip every coffee on the pitch. Even if you're not that into coffee (who are you?!), there's plenty more to taste test than just caffeine.

Dates 15-18th May 2025

Ticket price Entry is about £15 and includes coffee samples, giveaways, access to talks and masterclasses.

Location The Truman Brewery, Brick Lane

Brick Lane Jazz Festival

A relatively new festival set in multiple venues around Brick Lane, Shoreditch across three days and focused on jazz, jazz and more jazz. The festival will be back in 2025 with a fresh line-up as it enters its third year on the scene.

Dates 25-27th April 2025

Ticket price Day tickets for 2024 were £30. A weekend pass would have set you back £80

Mime Festival

Things have evolved a lot since the days of Woodstock. It's now possible to go to a festival without making a sound. Yes, although it might be hard to believe, London International Mime Festival is breaking records with a wordless line-up of visual theatre that sounds fascinating to say the least. It's also held in January, a time that's usually filled with haphazard New Year's resolutions and endless darkness, so a Mime Festival could be a welcome refuge.

Dates 16th January - 17th February 2025.

Ticket price TBC.

Location Various venues around Shoreditch.

Maiden Voyage

Electronic music is the name of the game at this newcomer festival. Maiden Voyage will head into its 5th summer at Lee Valley Park. Azealia Banks is set to headline with Shanti Celeste, Ben Klock and Manuka Honey also on the bill.

Dates 9th August 2025

Ticket price Tickets start at £45 via Resident Advisor

Location Lee Valley Park, EN9 1AB

Pitchfork Music Festival

Music review site, Pitchfork will curate a line-up of indie music at venues across the city this November, with a focus on Dalston, Hackney and Shoreditch. The full bill is still being announced but at the time of writing you can look forward to seeing King Gizz, Hey Nothing, and Panchiko perform.

Dates 4-8th November 2025.

Ticket price Gigs are individually ticketed via Pitchfork's festival website.

Location Multiple Venues across Dalston, Hackney and Shoreditch

Wide Awake Festival

Forgive us, but this festival is not in East London. It’s actually down south in Brockwell Park. The line-up is very ‘east’ though, so it might aswell be. What we love about Wide Awake is there’s a lot of indie music on the line-up which is slightly harder to come by these days as electronic music and pop often reigns supreme. Kneecap, English Teacher, Daniel Avery and Cmat are all set to headline in 2025.

Dates Saturday 25th May 2025

Ticket price Tickets start at £59 from the festival website

Location Brockwell Park, South London
